Faye Delaney Thienes, 84, of 851 Kimsey Lane in Henderson, formerly of Hartford, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Red Banks Skilled Nursing Center in Henderson.  Mrs. Thienes was born in Ohio County on March 14, 1928, to the late Bennett Hamilton Delaney and Eula Bartlett Delaney.

Mrs. Thienes retired from General Electric in Owensboro andwas a member of the No Creek United Methodist Church in Ohio County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Willard Thienes, who passed away on April 12, 1979.

She is survived by two sons, Gus Thienes, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Henderson and James Michael Thienes of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two daughters, Kathy Thienes of Henderson and Alice Carden and her husband Jack of Evansville, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Sondra Norman, Dawn Parks, Jeremy Thienes, Jason Thienes, Josh Thienes, Holly Koli and Zachary Carden; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Eugene Delaney and his wife Bobbie both of Beaver Dam and a sister, Jane Parker and her husband Dan of Henderson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home, with Rev. Deborah McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation with the family will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.
